Aaron Buchanan grew up small-town, the son of a Chicago Public Schools teacher and a healthcare worker. He picked up early that work should mean something to the person on the other end of it. At Illinois State University he studied Parks, Recreation and Leisure Facilities Management. His first career stop was corporate recruiting with Aerotek Engineering, which turned out to be useful training.
